Prospects of international cooperation between ZNTU and the University of Gdańsk

At the invitation and with the financial support of the dean of the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics of the University of Gdansk (Gdansk, Poland), professor ZNTU, Dr. Tech. of Sciences S.O. On May 26-29, 2015, Subbotin visited the University of Gdańsk, where he took part in a seminar of the said faculty. At the seminar, Prof. S.O. Subbotin delivered the lecture «Methods of computational intelligence in the problems of technical and biomedical diagnostics», in which he presented the results of his scientific research, and also told the participants of the seminar about the educational projects implemented at ZNTU with the support of the «Tempus» program of the European Commission, in particular about the «Centers of Excellence for Young Scientists» (CERES) project.

During the visit of Prof. S.O. On Saturday, there were also meetings with the Dean of the Faculty, Professor, Doctor of Science P. Boyarskyi, Deputy Dean for Development, Dr. H. Furmanchuk, Director of the Institute of Informatics, Professor, Doctor of Science A. Shepitovsky, Professor, Doctor of Science M. Ganzha. Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence, Professor, Doctor of Science, J. Yendzheyovych. The participants of the meetings discussed the issues of organizing cooperation in research and educational spheres, conducting preparatory work for students to receive double diplomas in related specialties. Considerable attention was paid to the organization of joint projects with funding from the European Commission, the possibility of continuing the education of graduates of ZNTU computer majors at the University of Gdańsk, the organization of internships for teachers and scientists of ZNTU at the University of Gdańsk, the issue of concluding a cooperation agreement between universities.
