The first stage of the All-Ukrainian charity competition «Aviator-2016»
On October 29, the first stage of the «Aviator-2016» educational competition, held by the Boris Kolesnikov Charitable Foundation, took place in the leading universities of Ukraine, including the Zaporizhzhia National Technical University.
Students registered on the project website passed testing in technical disciplines. The competition participants had 1.5 hours to solve 12 problems from the expert council of the competition in theoretical mechanics, hydraulics, thermodynamics, physics, electrical engineering and mathematics.
This year, 3,213 students from the National Aviation University and the National Technical University of Ukraine «Kyiv Polytechnic Institute» (Kyiv), Kharkiv National Aerospace University named after M. E. Zhukovsky «KHAI», Kirovohrad Flight Academy of NAU, Dnipropetrovsk National University named after Oles Honchar, Zaporizhzhia National Technical University, Slavyansky, Kryvorizky and Kremenchug Colleges of NAU, Zaporizhzhia Aviation College named after O. H. Ivchenko.
Sofiia Mudryk, Director of the Boris Kolesnikov Charitable Foundation noted: «There are no analogues of Aviator in Ukraine, it is the only educational competition for future designers and engineers in our country. The project is extremely popular among students, as evidenced by the three thousand applications received. »Aviator« has an unprecedented scale, it will gradually cover all Ukrainian technical universities and colleges with aviation technical specialties.»
The «Aviator» charity contest is being held by the Boris Kolesnikov Foundation for the fifth time. It is designed to support students of technical aviation specialties, to encourage them to professional growth. The project consists of six stages, including testing and tasks on the history and theory of aviation, technical sciences, English, solving a business case and defending a motivational presentation.
Participants of «Aviator-2016» compete for a trip to the Farnborough International Airshow 2016 in Great Britain. 100 winners of the project will go to London, get acquainted with the advanced technologies of the global aviation industry, and visit the stands of leading companies.
