Victories of students of the Faculty of Radio Electronics and Telecommunications

On March 12-13, 2014, four students of our university (Serhiy Shadrin, group RT-919, Valentin Galkin, group RT-810, Andrii Grebin, group RT-810 and Oksana Senyk, group MTU-230) under the guidance of Denys Viktorovich Belikov, assistant of the Department of Information Protection, took part in a face-to-face tour of the South-East region of the International Olympiad in the field of of information technologies «IT-Universe 2013/2014». According to the results of participation in this stage of the Olympiad, Serhii Shadrin took II place.

On March 19-21, 2014, the II stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad of the 2013/2014 academic year was held at the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics in the field of «Radio-electronic devices». Students of the RT-110 group, Mykola Shwager, Serhii Garachuk and Denys Zhitnyk, took part in this stage under the guidance of Oleksandr Yuriyovych Maly, associate professor of the department of information technologies of electronic means. By the decision of the jury of the Olympiad, Mykola Shwager was awarded Diploma for II place at the All-Ukrainian Olympiad in the direction of «Radio-electronic devices» in the specialty «Automated complexes of radio-electronic production».

On March 26-27, 2014, university students Andriy Galchenko (RT-710), Andriy Tverdenko (RT-719) took part in the final conference of the All-Ukrainian competition of student research papers in the field of «Information Security», which was held by the Lviv Polytechnic National University. Andriy Tverdenko spoke in the «Systems of technical information protection» section with a report on the topic «Development of an optical detector of covert video surveillance devices» (scientific supervisor – Korolkov Roman Yuriyovich, senior lecturer of the department of information protection) and was awarded the Certificate for the best implementation. Diploma of the III degree was awarded by the competition commission to Andrii Galchenko for his report on the topic «Method of identifying the type of nonlinearity of defects in wired communication lines» (scientific supervisor – Gulin Oleksiy Serhiyovych, assistant of the Department of Information Protection).
