A new pass in the Pamirs was named after the Zaporizhzhia Romantics
In the summer of 2014, a group of ZNTU tourist club «Romantyk» under the leadership of ZNTU graduate Ihor Deribas went on a unique 27-day route through the Pamirs. The tourists made the first ascent of the 4,330-meter-high pass, which was called the Zaporizhzhia Romantics pass, and also climbed the 7,000-meter peak of Lenin (7,134 meters).
