New computing server of the Department of Software
Under the German-Ukrainian DAAD project «Virtual Master Cooperation Data Science» (ViMaCs) the Department of Software of the National University «Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic» purchased a powerful server for a new laboratory of parallel intelligent data processing, virtual and augmented reality. The organization of the server purchase was provided by the rector S. B. Belikov, first vice-rector E. A. Gugnin, vice-rector for HP and MD V. V. Naumyk, chief accountant O. M. Sylenko, deputy chief accountant I. Yu. Vlasova. Assistance with the assembly and configuration of the server was provided by the company «Freshkod» (A. Barmin, V. Garkusha). Thanks to two processors with 14 cores and 2 threads each, the new server will provide computing power equivalent to 56 conventional single-processor computers.
