New specialties for modern students with the support of the European Union
On October 3-5, Zaporizhzhia National Technical University welcomed the participants of the international educational project Erasmus+ KA2 586114-EPP-1-2017-1-ES-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP «Innovative multidisciplinary educational program for training bachelors and masters in artificial implants for bioengineering».
Representatives of eleven higher educational institutions from Spain, Belgium, Austria, Poland, Ukraine, and Israel, as well as the State Institution «Institute of Spine and Joint Pathology named after M.I. Sitenko of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine» (Kharkiv, Ukraine) exchanged experience in analyzing the requirements of the labor market and the specifics of legislation in the field of higher education with the aim of developing a new curriculum. Since a distinctive feature of modern educational programs is multidisciplinarity, three departments are involved in the development of a new innovative program at ZNTU – the Department of Radio Engineering and Telecommunications (Head of the Faculty, Ph.D., Associate Professor S.V. Morshchavka, PhD student G.V. Moroz), the Department of Software Tools (Head of the Faculty, Ph.D., Prof. S.O. Subbotin, Ph.D., Associate Professor, G.V. Tabunshchik, Ph.D., Associate Professor A.V. Tulenkov) and Ph.D., Prof. V.A. Klimov, Ph.D. Aikin.
During the meeting, project participants took part in the IX international scientific and practical conference «Modern problems and achievements in the field of radio engineering, telecommunications and information technologies», which was held at ZNTU. Project coordinator Prof. David Luengo (Polytechnic University of Madrid) opened the conference with a plenary report «Evaluation of the feasibility of ECG-based biometric identification of healthy subjects».
On October 3, a round table «Prospects for the development of the science-education-production triangle of knowledge in the field of biomedical engineering and intelligent artificial implants for bioengineering» was organized, at which representatives of the Zaporizhzhia State Medical University, representatives of the «Motor-Sich» clinic and the «Vizus» ophthalmology clinic, the chief production engineer of JSC «Motor Sich», representatives of the «Infocom» company and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine (O. Makarchuk, M. Shumilin) talked about the latest achievements in the field of artificial implants and formulated the requirements for modern graduates in the field of bioengineering. The current state of production of artificial implants in Israel was presented by Professor Kfir Ben Harush (Semi Shamon College).
The following reports provoked lively discussions and were highly appreciated by the participants of the round table:
– Badnaui A. (Sytenko Institute of Spine and Joint Pathology of the National Ukrainian Academy of Medical Sciences) MODERN APPROACHES TO IMPLANTS IN ORTHOPEDIC SURGERY AND TRAUMATOLOGY. MOTIVATION AND PERSPECTIVES.
– M. Bezugliy (candidate of medical sciences, associate professor of ZMU) IMPLANTS IN OPHTHALMOLOGY: EFFECTIVENESS AND PROSPECTS
– Chornyi V. (head of the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology of the «MOTOR Sich» Medical School, Associate Professor of the Department of Medical Sciences), EXPERIMENTAL – CLINICAL JUSTIFICATION OF OSTEOSYNTHESIS WITH IMPLANTS MADE OF MAGNESIUM-BASED ALLOYS
– Yakovleva A. PERSPECTIVES OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF DOMESTIC IMPLANTS JSC «MOTOR SICH»
– Rumyantsev S. INNOVATIVE PROJECTS OF THE COMPANY INFOCOM LTD
The project participants were able to familiarize themselves with the features of the production of artificial implants during a visit to Motor Sich JSC on October 4 with the support of Oleksiy Zelenyuk, director of consumer goods production of Motor Sich JSC, and chief engineer Ivan Matvienko.
On October 5, Ukrainian partners underwent preventive monitoring, and European colleagues had the opportunity to visit the laboratories of the departments of physical materials science, software, radio engineering and telecommunications. The social program included a visit to the cradle of Ukrainian Cossacks – the island of Khortytsia. In addition, a special section was held on October 5, during which ZNTU students presented their developments in the field of bioengineering:
1) Tulenkov A. (assistant, faculty of PZ) EMBEDDED BIOMEDICAL SYSTEMS AND WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORKS
2) Kush A., Frolova A. (st. gr. KNT-715) RECOMMENDATION SYSTEM FOR THE SELECTION OF MEDICAL EQUIPMENT
3) Horzeev I. (KNT-124m) DEVELOPMENT OF SOFTWARE FOR BUILDING A THREE-DIMENSIONAL HUMAN MODEL
4) Chudesnova O. (RP-914m) IMPROVEMENT OF WIRELESS ACCESS TO THE NETWORK IN PREMISES WITH RESTRICTIONS ON THE LEVEL OF ELECTROMAGNETIC RADIATION.
5) Sherstobytova A. (RP-914m) SYSTEM OF AUTOMATIC CALL OF EMERGENCY SERVICES FOR PROVIDING ASSISTANCE TO PASSENGERS OF «INTELLIGENT» TRANSPORT IN EMERGENCY SITUATIONS
6) O. Lukyanenko (IF-214m) IMPROVED MAGNESIUM-BASED ALLOY WITH AN INCREASED COMPLEX OF PROPERTIES FOR OSTEOSYNTHESIS.
Representatives of the National Erasmus+ office had the opportunity to meet with representatives of the labor market – O.A. Ryzhov, professor, doctor of pharm. of Sciences, head of the department of medical and pharmaceutical informatics and the latest technologies of ZDMU and S.Yu. Tsotsorin, deputy chief designer of Motor Sich JSC.
The project team expresses special gratitude to Motor Sich JSC, Light IT and Vimeo companies, and translator E. Chetvertak, associate professor of the Faculty of Arts, for their help in organizing the first meeting under the BIOART project. theories and practices of translation.
