On September 25, 2020, the open event «Night of Science» was held at the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University. The event was dedicated to two important events at once: the opening of the Children’s and Youth Scientific University «Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic» and the 120th anniversary of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University.

This important event was made possible thanks to the after-school educational institution «Center for Scientific and Technical Creativity of Youth »Polit” of the Zaporizhzhia City Council of the Zaporizhzhia region, the support of the Department of Education and Science of the Zaporizhzhia City Council and the Territorial Department of Education of the Shevchenkivskyi District. The organizer of the meeting was the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University.

Today, everyone is talking about the need to popularize engineering specialties. The organizers of the event demonstrated that Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic is a modern educational institution that has enormous opportunities for training, development and discoveries in the engineering field. The main goals of the event were brilliantly achieved: popularization of science, STREAM education, the latest technologies, scientific and technical creativity and modern engineering specialties, which are the basis of the educational process at the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University, organization of useful leisure for children.

On the basis of the leading departments of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University, master classes, excursions, exhibitions, interactive experiments were held as part of the event. Guests of our University had the opportunity to see «Magic Colors of Design», «Interfloor Movement», learn all about «Logistics of the Future», «Why Airplanes and Helicopters Fly», how «Creating Games in Python» happens, delve into «The Magic of Metals. Foundries, Jewelers, Artists…» and who is «Young Hacker».

As part of the event «Night of Science 2020», a scientific children’s conference with university specialists «Nights about Science» was held, organized by the after-school educational institution «Center for Scientific and Technical Creativity of Youth »Polit« of the Zaporizhzhia City Council of the Zaporizhzhia region.
