Training at the Department of Welding Equipment and Technology during quarantine

The Department of Welding Equipment and Technology (DWTE) actively uses information and communication technologies and distance learning tools to ensure a full-fledged educational process during quarantine. Interaction between teachers and students is carried out using the distance learning system of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University and Viber, Facebook, e-mail services.

The teaching and methodological support for the disciplines of the department, which includes lecture notes, methodological instructions for laboratory, practical, course and diploma works and projects, is publicly available in electronic form in the institutional repository and university electronic library.

The quarantine did not prevent scientific communication: on April 8, 2020, the final All-Ukrainian competition of student scientific works in the direction of «Welding» was held at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering in correspondence. In addition, teachers and students actively participate in the work of distance conferences, in particular, the IV International Scientific and Practical Conference «Applied Scientific and Technical Research» (Academy of Technical Sciences of Ukraine, April 1-3, 2020); the annual scientific and practical conference of teachers, scientists, young scientists, postgraduates and students «Science Week-2020» (Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University, April 13-17, 2020).
