Scientists of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University took part in parliamentary hearings on the topic: «Building an effective system of intellectual property protection in Ukraine»
On December 16, 2019, parliamentary hearings were held on the topic: «Building an effective system of intellectual property protection in Ukraine»,, which were held by the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Economic Development.
People’s Deputies of Ukraine, responsible employees of ministries and departments, representatives of local executive bodies and local self-government, entrepreneurs, businessmen, experts, representatives of public organizations and the media were invited to participate in the event.
Scientists of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University also took part in the event. The Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Korolkov Vladislav Vasilyevich, participated in the parliamentary hearings from the university. Information and analytical materials were provided for the preparation of draft recommendations for the parliamentary hearings from the NU «Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic». Proposals to reduce the fee for registration of intellectual property rights and protection of intellectual property rights in the form of design and technological documentation found support.
The main issues were devoted to the adoption of the National Strategy for the Development of the Intellectual Property Sphere in Ukraine for the period 2020-2025; changes in the state administration of the system of protection of intellectual property rights and the formation of the National Intellectual Property Authority; accelerating the updating of Ukrainian legislation in accordance with the provisions of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU, increasing the level of protection of intellectual property rights.
