Scientific achievements of ZNTU students in the 2012/2013 academic year
Students’ scientific research work at ZNTU is aimed at achieving high results.
In the 2012/2013 academic year, 15 students became laureates of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiads («Mechanical Engineering Technology» (ASKON), «Foundry», «Radioelectronic Devices», «Systems of Automated Design and Computer Modeling in Mechanical Engineering», «Design», «Digital Devices and Microprocessors», «Technologies and Equipment welding», «Mathematics», «Applied materials science», «Restoration and increase of wear resistance of parts and structures», «Life safety», «Theoretical foundations of electrical engineering», «Organization and regulation of road traffic», «Organization of transportation and management in transport»), a team of 3 students became the winner of the All-Ukrainian team Olympiad in AFM programming, 6 students won the regional stage of the International Olympiad in programming, 2 students became Laureates of the All-Ukrainian stage of the International Olympiad in information technologies «IT-PLANETA», and will be sent to the International final of the Olympiad.
16 students were awarded Diplomas of the winners of the competition, which is 1.5 times higher than last year’s figures. The works of the winners of the competition were completed with the help of scientific supervisors of the departments of design, electric drive and automation of industrial installations, personnel management and labor economics, equipment and technology of welding production, heat engineering and hydraulics, Ukrainian studies, information technologies of electronic means.
5 ZNTU students became laureates at the competition for gifted youth, introduced by the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration. The winners’ works were carried out at the departments of computer systems and networks, electric drive and automation of industrial installations, and Ukrainian studies.
At the annual scientific and practical conference of teachers, scientists, young scientists, postgraduate students and students of ZNTU «Science Week», which was held from April 15 to 19, 2013, about 800 reports by students were heard.
At the International Design Festival «Cow-2012», which was held in November of this academic year, 5 students of the Design Department became Laureates.
The students’ scientific work was reflected in publications.
In 2012, 516 articles were published with the participation of students, 203 of them independently.
Participation students in All-Ukrainian Student Olympiads, scientific paper competitions, as well as scientific and practical conferences – this is one of the most relevant forms of involving students in scientific research work, as well as the opportunity to identify gifted youth in the field of scientific research and reveal the creative potential of university youth.
