Scientific conference «Science Week-2016» at the EPA department
At the Zaporizhzhia National Technical University, the annual scientific and technical conference «Science Week» is held, which is traditionally dedicated to the professional holiday – Science Day. The department «Electric drive and automation of industrial installations» participates in the event every year, presenting the scientific works of teachers, graduate students and students.
Teachers and students at the conference, including associate professor Mykola Leonidovych Antonov, associate professor Andriy Volodymyrovych Pyrozhok, associate professor Olena Serhiivna Nazarova, associate professor Volodymyr Volodymyrovych Osadchiy, graduate student Volodymyr Oleksandrovich Novomlynskyi, students of group E-312 V.V. Brylisty, A.E. Pokhil, students of group E-313 R.I. Savilov, A.S. Dukhan and many others. «Science Week-2016» was distinguished by a variety of reports, which shows a great interest in scientific activity. The best works were «Analysis of processes in the circuit of an active single-phase two-link direct frequency converter and stabilization of its control characteristics» under the scientific supervision of associate professor Mykola Leonidovich Antonov, speaker of the E324sp group Artem Anatoliyovych Babakin, «Positional electric actuator of an open two-mass system» under the scientific guidance of Associate Professor Volodymyr Volodymyrovich Osadchy and Associate Professor Olena Serhiyivna Nazarova, speaker of the E313 group Roman Igorovich Savilov.
Among the invited guests are representatives of the Zaporizhzhia firm Infocom: General Director Trotsenko Eduard Anatoliyovych and a graduate of the EPA department, leading specialist Serhii Rumyantsev.
It should be emphasized that the students of ZOSH No. 55 Yarmolovich Rustam (5th grade) and Dmytro Dyachenko (7th grade) came to the conference under the guidance of the informatics and economics teacher Nataliya Mykhaylivna Yarmolovich. The boys quite confidently assemble simple and moderately complex electrical circuits.
They learn to program using the Scratch visual programming environment and learn to write sketches in the Arduino programming environment.
Future engineers presented their successes in robotics, showed experience in implementing STEM (ScienceTechnologyEngineeringMathematics) education in the educational process. They really think about tomorrow, are purposeful and self-confident, they don’t care what will happen tomorrow and who will manage their destiny.
The purpose of the event was to determine the current state and level of integration processes, to develop further ways of developing innovative activities. In general, the conference was very informative, which had a certain stimulation for students.
The department «Electric drive and automation of industrial facilities» intends to continue participating in the scientific and practical conference «Science Week» in the future, and to involve its students in scientific activities.
