National stage of the European Engineering Competitions

From April 25 to 29, the All-Ukrainian stage of the European Engineering Competitions was held in Zaporizhzhia, where the best teams of technical universities of Ukraine took part. Active and creative students from Kyiv, Lviv, Vinnytsia and Zaporizhzhia, having become the winners of the local stage, competed among themselves for the right to participate in the competitions at the international final stage of EBEC in Belgrade. The organizer of the national stage of the competition was the center of the international student organization BEST in Zaporizhzhia for the third time. This intellectual event was distinguished by a high level of organization, primarily with the help of Zaporizhzhia National Technical University headed by the rector S.B. Byelikov and the Trade Union Committee of Students, Postgraduates and Doctoral Students of ZNTU headed by Chairman Andriy Ivanchenko.

The EBEC engineering competitions were held in two categories: Team Design – designing technical structures with subsequent demonstration of the results of the work performed and Case Study – solving analytical problems, researching a specific object, problem or process. The students proved themselves not only as talented engineers, but also surprised with their creativity, ingenuity and ability to find non-standard solutions to complex problems.

The project was supported by the following partners: Honda, Diacom Group, Carlsberg Ukraine, Aqua Fontana, Cypress Semiconductor, ZyXel, Jays Coffee, Trade Union Committee of ZNTU students and the administration of Zaporizhzhia National Technical University.

The entire week of the competition was held in the Palace of Culture of the Zaporizhzhia Automobile Plant (ZAZ).
