Mobile laboratory under the Erasmus+ WORK4CE project
Within the framework of the implementation of the international project “Interdisciplinary Competencies for Healthy and Safe Work in the 21st Century” (WORK4CE, Project Number: 619034-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP) of the Erasmus+ program of the European Union at the National University “Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic”, the Department of Software Tools (Head of the Department – Serhiy Subbotin, Project Coordinator – Galina Tabunshchyk) is implementing the creation of a mobile computer laboratory for collaborative work (Digital co-production laboratory).
The Work4CE project is aimed at addressing the needs for educational resources to prepare students for the future workplace (Work 4.0). It involves the development of interdisciplinary curricula and modules, as well as the introduction of new forms of (virtual) cooperation between universities and enterprises to improve the practical value of curricula and the employability of graduates. Through the implementation of a collaborative approach between teachers, industry experts and members of professional associations, new work-related competences for the workplace of the future (Work 4.0) will be developed. This approach will bridge the gap between academia and industry in the partner countries and provide graduates with the competences to cope with the transformation of the working environment, assess where they are and where they want to go (analysis, strategy) in order to transform into a sustainable working environment.
The creation of a mobile collaborative computer laboratory will provide participants in the educational process of the Department of Software Tools with convenient access to advanced information technologies and tools in a convenient and attractive format for them. In particular, the laboratory will allow for flexible planning and conducting practical and laboratory classes for students both in computer classes and laboratories, and in lecture halls and halls. Such a laboratory can be used not only in university premises, but also in external locations (conferences, exhibitions, seminars, Olympiads, hackathons, etc.). The laboratory will become an important instrumental component for the implementation of the WORK4CE project at Zaporizhia Polytechnic University, will allow students to acquire and develop practical skills important for successful employment, will improve the material and technical support of the educational process, will make the work of the department’s teachers more effective. It will also enable teachers to conduct classes in new interactive formats that were previously unavailable or limited by a lack of equipment.
