Mama+Me — a festival of warmth
The day of September 25 pleased us not only with sunny weather, but also with a good festive mood. After all, in Zaporizhzhia, in the central park of culture and recreation «Dubovyi Gai» the charity festival «Mama + Me» was held for the first time in support of orphans and children deprived of parental care.
Fun and positive emotions accompanied the participants from the very beginning at the main entrance, where a real orchestra was playing. On the very first steps, enthusiastic mimes in colorful costumes on stilts and with balloons brought smiles. The children were divided into three groups, which were accompanied by tour guides. They introduced the park, showed the location of the playgrounds, and escorted everyone to each master class.
The kids were constantly trying to run around like sparrows, and it’s no wonder, because there was so much interesting and new stuff around! The beauty alley with amazing photo zones echoed the exhibition of children’s drawings. On the field, you could play sports games, learn how to pitch a tent, and spin poi (a training prop for firefighter). Near the restaurant, there was a fire engine, an ambulance, and a police station, where representatives of the professions told the young participants the basics of their work. They willingly took pictures and even allowed not only children but also adults to «chat» in the car, which your correspondent did not forget to take advantage of. For those who got hungry, there were several tents set up within the park, where sandwiches, cotton candy, popcorn, and water were distributed. And the main goal of the festival was a competition, where every talented little sun had the opportunity to perform on stage and impress those around them with their skills. Each of the little artists received prizes regardless of their places.
«It is very nice that Zaporizhzhia has started holding festivals with a fairly high level of organization. There were many activities, both for preschoolers and for families with babies. There was no boredom!» – says the mother of one of the children
The whole picture of the festival was filled with warmth and light: a kaleidoscope of colors, beautiful music, dancing and fun, art and physical exercises, sparkles in the eyes of enthusiastic kids, tour guides and parents immersed in a positive mood. An incredible atmosphere reigned, because a child’s smile was a constant source of energy for the holiday. I would like to thank the organizers and students of «Mashinka», who took part as volunteers, for this bright event.
