Master class from PJSC «Zaporizhstal»
Almost from the moment of entering a higher educational institution, everyone is concerned about the issue of further professional realization and employment in general. Young people are interested in learning about the features of their future specialty, about the possibilities and ways to successfully get a job. In order to satisfy the need for absolute confidence of its students, Zaporizhzhia National Technical University periodically organizes relevant master classes.
On November 28, within the walls of their native «Mashinka» with the support of the Center for Employment Assistance of ZNTU students, a master class «Railway Transport Logistics System of JSC »Zaporizhstal« was held for students of the Department of Transport Technologies of the Faculty of Transport. The head of the Railway Transport Department of PJSC »Zaporizhstal” shared his professional experience with our youth Nagikh K.V.
PJSC «Zaporizhstal» is a full-cycle metallurgical plant, whose activities are aimed at the quantity and quality of manufactured products. In addition, new technologies and ideas are constantly being introduced into the production process. For example, to save fuel at the plant, it was proposed to use coal dust, which would allow partial abandonment of natural gas. After all, the main motto of PJSC «Zaporizhstal» is «Do not save on repairs and people, but use raw materials wisely, reducing costs».
Regarding his professional field, Nagikh K.V. noted:
«In terms of the quantitative composition of railway transport, our plant is ahead only of «Kryvorozhstal». And in terms of technical support for transport, «Zaporizhstal» has no equal in Ukraine.
I can say directly about logistics that in my understanding – this is «efficiency in work». To achieve such efficiency, a person should be motivated, preferably financially. The average salary at the enterprise is UAH 6,004, in addition, bonuses of up to UAH 1,500 are possible for effective solutions to technological production problems.
I would also like to note that I am satisfied with the activities of young employees – they think quickly and work hard. At the moment, the plant needs track specialists and locomotive drivers, and we are actively looking for them.
I would like to wish students and graduates of the department to focus not on the position, but on the enterprise. It is better to start small to achieve more, but on the basis of a serious, powerful organization».
Thanks to the trade union committee of students, postgraduates and doctoral students of ZNTU and the Center for Student Employment Assistance and the Department of Transport Technologies of the university, such a useful meeting was held, the answers to the most interesting questions became known, and now young people have an idea of their future work, can think about their social formation and career planning.
