The future is in our hands! «Mashynka» welcomes athletes!
On September 13-15, 2013, the European Championship in individual powerlifting exercises was held in the city of Cherkasy. Competitions of this type are a feature of the World Drug-Free Powerlifting Federation (WDFPF – World Drug-Free Powerlifting Federation).
This sporting event brought together 225 participants from 13 countries. The largest number of participants represented Ukraine. There were also many athletes from Russia, Moldova and Great Britain.
On the first day, athletes competed in squats, on the second day – in bench press, on the third – in deadlift. Athletes could perform in one or several exercises, but the winners were determined in each separate exercise.
Dmytro Chuhui, a student of the Zaporizhzhia College of Radio Electronics of ZNTU, whose participation in the competition was made possible by the financial support of the ZNTU student government, participated in the deadlift. In the first approach, he lifted a weight of 205 kg. The next approach was 215 kg, but, unfortunately, was not counted due to a technical error in execution.
According to the results of the competition, Dmytro became second in the weight category up to 75 kg T3 (teenager 3) under the age of 19, for which we congratulate him and wish him further success and good health.
