Summer school for young scientists under the Tempus CERES project
Within the VIII International Scientific and Practical Conference «Modern Problems and Achievements in the Field of Radio Engineering, Telecommunications and Information Technologies» Zaporizhzhia National Technical University (ZNTU) from September 21 to 26, 2016, the Summer School for Young Scientists «Modern Trends in Young Education» was held under the international project «Centers of Excellence for Young Scientists» (CERES) (Reg. No. 544137-TEMPUS-1-2013-1-SK-TEMPUS-JPHES) of the «Tempus» program of the European Union. The total number of conference participants was more than 150 people, including more than 50 participants of the Summer School, most of whom were young scientists.
The school was opened by the rector of ZNTU, prof. Belikov S.B. In his speech, he congratulated the participants of the school, told about the history and present of the university. Prof. S.B. Belikov also paid special attention to issues of international cooperation, emphasized the importance of the Tempus and Erasmus+ projects for the development of ZNTU and establishing contacts with foreign universities.
The work of the CERES Summer School was attended by scientists representing the University of Žilina in Žilina (Slovak Republic), prof. V.G. Levashenko and Prof. OHM. Zaitseva, employees of the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radio Electronics (Minsk, Republic of Belarus) prof. M.M. Tatur (also represented LLC «Intellectual Processors»), associate professors N.V. Lapitka and V.A. Parkhimenko, representatives of the Brest State Technical University (Republic of Belarus), associate professors D.O. Kostyuk and Yu.V. Savitskyi, representatives of higher education institutions of Ukraine: associate professor of the National Metallurgical Academy (Dnipro, Ukraine) I.V. Derevyanko, associate professor of the National Transport University (Kyiv, Ukraine) O.Yu. Usychenko. On behalf of ZNTU, the following participated in the work of the school: rector, doctor of technical sciences, prof. S.B. Belikov, head café of software (software), Doctor of Technical Sciences, Prof. S.O. Subbotin, associate professors of the faculty PZ V.M. Lyovkin, G.V. Nelasa, A.O. Oliynyk, V.P. Rysikov, O.O. Stepanenko, T.V. Fedoronchak, st. faculty teachers PZ T.A. Zayko and T.O. Kolpakova, Associate Professor of computer systems and networks S.Yu. Skrupskyi, professor of the faculty of system analysis and computational mathematics A.V. Bakurova, associate professor of the faculty protection of information H.L. Kozina and others. Scientific and pedagogical workers of higher education institutions delivered lectures to students and colleagues, talked about achievements in scientific and pedagogical work, highlighted the priority areas of research development in partner universities.
Participation in the work of the school was also attended by students, postgraduates, young teachers and scientists of higher education institutions – partners of the project. Young scientists gave reports in which they presented the results of their own scientific research, and also listened to lectures by experienced scientists. An important element of the school was discussions between young scientists during the discussion of reports.
Participation in the work of the school was attended by representatives of the Radium State Enterprise (Kirovohrad, Kharkiv, Ukraine) and the Brno University of Technology (Brno, Czech Republic).
The reports of school participants are published in the collection of abstracts of the conference. The best reports of the School are recommended for free publication in the international journals «Central European Researchers Journal» ( http://ceres-journal.eu/ ), published by the University of Žilina (Slovak Republic) and «Radioelectronics, Informatics, Management» ( http://ric.zntu.edu.ua ), published by ZNTU.
Representatives of the grant holder of the CERES project of Zhilin University in Zhilin, engineer B. Endersova, as well as V.G. Levashenko and O.M. During meetings with representatives of partner universities, Zaitsev discussed the current implementation of the CERES project, its management and financial reporting.
School participants also had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the city of Zaporizhzhia, its historical monuments, visit museums and leading enterprises. Excursions to the island of Khortytsia, to the historical and memorial complex «Zaporizhsky dub», to the «Khortytsia» distillery, to the «Slavutych» beer-non-alcoholic plant (Carlsberg group), to the «Motor-Sich» museum of technology turned out to be interesting. This allowed young scientists who participated in the School to learn about the work of modern industrial enterprises, to familiarize themselves with high-tech equipment and production processes.
