Campus Table Tennis Cup
From November 24 to 27, the Campus Table Tennis Cup competition was held in ZNTU dormitory No. 2. The tournament consisted of three qualifying rounds, which, as usual, ended with a final.
On the first day of the Cup, November 24, residents of the 2nd dormitory demonstrated their sports skills. The judges were the deputy chairman of the dormitory student council, Serdyuk Artur, and the ex-chairman of the dormitory student council, Moroz Harry. 12 guys took part in the selection, and three traditionally took the honorable places:
- 1st place – Gavrilov Yegor Oleksandrovych (MTU-122);
- 2nd place – Salovarov Andriy Serhiyovych (M-114);
- 3rd place – Voychuk Bohdan Mykolayovych (IF-314).
The second day of the competition, November 25, was marked by the women’s game. The girls-representatives of the dormitory No. 3, No. 4 and the ZKR played for places with the following results:
- 1st place with a clear lead – Doroshenko Olena Vadimovna (RT-212);
- 2nd place – Sidorenko Vladyslava Oleksandrivna (RT-911);
- 3rd place – Velikotnaya Oksana Oleksandrivna (FEU-614).
The judges this time were the head of the 4th floor of the dormitory No. 2 Ryzhenkih Denys, as well as the representative of the dormitory No. 4 Koshelyuk Ruslan.
On the same day, the qualifying stage of the dormitory No. 4 of ZNTU was held. 6 guys came to compete for participation in the final, and their ticket to the decisive competition was received:
- 1st place – Fokin Oleksandr Dmitrievich (UFKS-119);
- 2nd place – Zyuzin Mykola Viktorovich (E-513);
- 3rd place – Degtyarenko Yurii Yuriyovych (UFKS-213).
It should be noted that the fight for 2nd place was tough and intense, no one wanted to give in to their opponent, but, as expected, only one at this stage became the winner according to the decision of fair judges: Ryzhenky Denys, Koshelyuk Ruslan and Moroz Harry.
On November 26, the residents of the ZKR dormitory demonstrated their skills. 5 guys took part in the selection, and the favorites of the competition were:
- 1st place – Danilchenko Artem Igorovych (RT-212);
- 2nd place – Shevchenko Andriy Igorovych (MTU-212);
- 3rd place – Syrotenko Yevheniy Oleksandrovych (IF-514).
The judges of the day were Moroz Harry and Koshelyuk Ruslan.
Finally, on November 27, the final of the Campus Table Tennis Cup took place! The final of the competition was attended by teams from each ZNTU dormitory, which included students who won the first three places in each selection, as well as the heads of the dormitory student councils as captains. The head of the judging panel was Moroz Harry, his assistants were Koshelyuk Ruslan and Ryzhenkykh Denys. Interesting, tense, dynamic matches were played, as a result, the guys from the dormitory No. 2 of ZNTU won a confident victory!
We talked to the captain of the team of the 2nd dormitory, the organizer of the competition, Kapustyan Dmytro: «The guys took the game seriously, prepared well, honed and consolidated their skills. It is really nice that such competitions have already become a tradition. I am glad that the transitional Cup has remained in our dormitory. Thank you all for participating, and the trade union committee of ZNTU students for supporting the tournament. We plan to continue organizing various sports competitions at the level of our campus from year to year».
