Beauty will save the world!
Beauty will really save the world, especially when it is combined with intelligence, cleverness and talent, which our Ukrainian women possess! And this is not just an assumption, it is already a proven fact, especially more than once. And such an opportunity to test your strength, self-confidence, prove to yourself and others that you are the best, was given to the students of the Electrical Engineering College of the Zaporizhzhia National Technical University.
On April 10, the «Miss College – 2014» beauty contest was held in the Orbita DC, which was organized by the team of the professional bureau of students of the Electrical Engineering College of ZNTU headed by Kateryna Romanenko.
This competition chose one winner among 12 contestants who is confident in her abilities and capabilities.
But confidence is not all the attributes for victory, in order to find the same one, the girls had to pass an «exam». This exam consisted of several stages: defile, intellectual questions, business card, talents, cooking. All this was a very difficult test both for the participants themselves and for the honorable jury. It was composed of university rector Serhii Borisovych Belikov, college director Yevgen Mykolayovych Ryabenko, college teacher Vadim Ivanovych Khodus, head of the trade union committee of students, postgraduates and doctoral students of ZNTU Ivanchenko Andriy Volodymyrovych, head of the spoken genre studio of the Center for Culture and Leisure of ZNTU students Dmytro Shendrik, head of the college student council 2012-2013 Sazhynska Iryna Vitalyivna, director of the student campus of ZNTU Dubina Vadim Mykolayovych, art director of the studio «Beauty Service» Savinkova Yana Serhiivna – a very strong and serious team.
The first round of the exam, fashion show, went off with a bang, the girls showed their ability to walk beautifully in high heels and their chic dresses. In the next competition, the beauties had to make a video about themselves in advance and present themselves there. Next, the girls demonstrated their awareness of life, talents: oriental dances, writing poems, singing, acting talent and others. And the last competition turned out to be very sweet: each of the participants had to prepare and protect their cake, and they succeeded, because the names and business cards of the cakes were very original.
In the periods between contests, musicians performed on stage and impressed the audience with their voices. But the presenters did not lag behind, and showed their professionalism and talent, which was very pleasing and relieved the atmosphere.
First of all, preparation for such a competition is very important and time-consuming work, in which there cannot be a single flaw and we can say that the organizers, sponsors, partners succeeded in everything, thanks to united team support.
The public was also given the opportunity to show themselves and receive prizes for it, the competition partners organized an AVON perfume lottery for girls, and cash prizes for boys. This greatly pleased and encouraged everyone.
Finally, the exciting part of this event is the awarding of the titles, it was a difficult choice for the jury, but they coped with their task, so we got:
- «Miss College-2014» – Sydorova Kateryna, c. Flower 11 1/9;
- «Vice-Miss College-2014» – Tumanova Svitlana, gr. EP 12 1/9;
- «First Vice-Miss College-2014» – Anastasiia Shchebetun, gr. Flower 13 1/9.
The girls did not expect to win. But all the other contestants were also left with nothing: each of them received consolation prizes as gifts from sponsors.
I think it is very good to hold such competitions, because they give girls the opportunity to find something incredible in themselves, to show and share a part of themselves with others and conclude that you are unique!
