Beauty in spring!
On April 24, our university blossomed with true beauty and talent, because with the assistance of the trade union committee of ZNTU students, a grand competition «Miss Spring ZNTU 2013» was held!
Preparation for the event began long before the long-awaited day of presentation from a large-scale selection of contestants. From the multitude of beauties, only 12 of the brightest contenders for the title were chosen, and the participants enthusiastically plunged into an endless whirlpool of fashion shows, photo shoots and rehearsals for two months.
And while the girls were getting ready, everyone had the opportunity to vote for one of them in order to increase the contestant’s chances of receiving the audience’s sympathy prize. Voting was conducted on the website of our esteemed student union ( http://www.pks-zntu.org.ua ), but, of course, the intrigue was maintained until the very end, which was reflected in the mark «Voting is working and votes are being counted, but the results will be visible later». As a result, 8018 people made their choice. But before talking about the audience award, I would like to tell you more about the participants.
Undoubtedly, the diversity was pleasing: students of both humanitarian and technical specialties, brunettes and blondes, talented in different genres, took part in the competition! The participants represented the following faculties: MTU (by the way, the largest number of contestants study here), ETF, GF, FEU, IFF and GPF. In general, the girls described themselves as sociable, active, cheerful, and cheerful, and we are proud that our students are distinguished by such good character.
So, the final evening of the competition began. An absolutely full hall gathered to support the participants. The contestants were evaluated by our jury consisting of ZNTU rector Serhiy Belikov, chairman of the ZNTU student trade union committee Andriy Ivanchenko, director of the TyanaModels modeling agency Tetyana Skubiy, head of the People’s Theater of Contemporary Choreography «Phoenix» Snezhana Lobodiuk, director of the advertising agency «MS Print» Oleh Mamay, creative director of the hairdressing and nail art training center «Art Nails» Tetyana Sergeeva.
The girls demonstrated a fashion show in dresses, sportswear, and underwear. In addition, the participants presented a series of their photos and, of course, their talents. The audience watched vocal and gymnastic numbers, artistic reading, dancing, playing the accordion, as well as a humorous miniature, an original video clip and painting skills.
This long-awaited spring event could not have happened without the support of sponsors and partners, namely: the hairdressing and nail art training center «Art Nails», the entertainment complex «Nairi», the photographers of the competition from the company «Splesh production» and Anastasiia Sontseva, the foreign language learning center «Evrika», the lingerie salon «Azhur» and «ELLE», makeup artists Tetiana Lobanova and Yevgenia Borysiuk, taxi «Optimalne», wedding salon «Pana Liza», advertising agency «MS Print», company «Mariia Kay» in the person of Kateryna Shulga and Iryna Doroshenko, company «Niko SN» official representative of Ty-Lab Professional in Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
After the presentation of the contestants, the jury went out to discuss and make a final verdict. At this time, the audience was supported by vocalist Dmytro Ivanov, who was later joined by our hosts Dmytro Shendryk and Eduard Rybalevsky. Together they joked, sang and even took an impromptu interview with the charming girl from the poster!
After some time, the jury returned to hold the nomination ceremony and announce their decision. So, the awards were distributed as follows:

- Miss Elegance – №1 Sviridenko Kseniia (FMTU)
- Miss Genius – №11 Danyuk Olena (FMTU)

And the lucky winner was Viktoriia Alekseeva, a student of the Faculty of International Tourism and Management, №12. The title was handed over to the girl by «Miss Spring ZNTU 2012», a student of the Faculty of Radio Electronics and Telecommunications, Oleksandra Solovey.
We asked Viktoriia to comment on the events of the competition: «Of course, I did not expect to become the winner, but, I will not hide it, I was very happy about it. During the preparation, we became very close friends with the other contestants: we constantly supported each other, spent a lot of time together. In general, I have only the best memories of participation and victory!»
The jury members congratulated all the participants and wished them new victories.
This year, spring brought us a lot of beauty and delight, so we will look forward to the next one to see how a new Spring will be born in the beautiful struggle!
