Every student on a subsidy

On October 3, 2013, a meeting was held on the issue of calculating subsidies for students for the 2013-2014 heating season.

The main presenter of this event was Keda Vadim Serhiyovych – Deputy Director of the ZNTU Student Campus.

Also present at this event were: Chairman of the ZNTU Student Trade Union Committee Ivanchenko Andriy Volodymyrovych and specialists from the Department of Labor and Social Protection of the Zaporizhzhia City Council for the Zhovtnevy District: Vashchenko Nataliya Volodymyrivna, Chistyakova Nataliya Ivanivna, Chemko Liudmyla Vyacheslavivna, Avremenko Odena Olegivna.

The main topics of the meeting were: subsidies, heating in the dormitory, assistance in paying for utility services to students.

Each representative from the department spoke in more detail about their main activities. Namely:

• Vashchenko N.V. told the students in general about the main issues that will be considered.
• Chistyakova N.I. explained what a subsidy is and who has the right to receive it.
• Chemko L.V. explained in detail the entire mechanism of submitting applications and declarations.
• Avramenko O.O. emphasized and warned about the need to provide truthful information when filling out an application and declaration.

What is a subsidy and how exactly will it help us, students?

So, a subsidy is assistance, support, payments to consumers, which are provided at the expense of the state or local budget. The amount of the subsidy is from 250-280 hryvnias per month, and is issued 2 times a year (heating season, non-heating season).

Judging by everything, such assistance is very necessary for ZNTU students. During the discussion, students actively participated and asked questions, and specialists tried to answer all questions in more detail, clearly and accessible to each student.

After the speeches of all the guests, V.S. Keda summed up the meeting and emphasized the need to issue subsidies in a timely manner and not forget to collect ready-made certificates in a timely manner.

The meeting ended with friendly applause from the students, thereby thanking the trade union committee of ZNTU students for the opportunity to understand the system of calculating subsidies and get answers to important questions.
