On April 21-23, 2017, a coordination meeting of the participants of the international project «Centers of Excellence for young RESearchers» (CERES) of the «Tempus» program of the European Commission (registration number 544137-TEMPUS-1-2013-1-SK-TEMPUS-JPHES) was held in the city of Padeborn (Germany). Participants of the meeting discussed urgent issues related to project implementation, gave reports on its implementation at partner universities.
Representatives of universities and enterprises reported the first results of work with the CERES portal. It is noted that the CERES portal, developed by the project consortium, provides a qualitatively new level of preparation and implementation of scientific works of young scientists and specialists. This makes it possible to cover all levels of higher education from bachelor’s to master’s and postgraduate, as well as to unite young scientists from several countries to research current scientific problems. On the CERES-portal, a «catalogue of orders» from industrial enterprises has been opened, which young scientists will be able to tackle in their research. Through the portal, joint work of local and international groups of young scientists is organized. Students and scientists from related fields of knowledge can work on the same project. According to a similar scenario, groups will be built to solve more complex scientific tasks. The teams participating in the meeting also discussed issues of dissemination of the results and attended training seminars.
The meeting also discussed issues related to the purchase of equipment with the funds of the European Union for the implementation of the project by partner universities.
As part of the meeting, Padeborn University representatives held lectures on technologies of research cooperation with enterprises, management cluster and platforms for ensuring the educational process in higher education institutions.
Participants of the Tempus CERES and Erasmus+ ALIOT projects (Internet of Things: Emerging Curriculum for Industry and Human Applications, registration number 573818-EPP-1-2016-1-UK-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP) Prof., Doctor of Technical Sciences V.S. Kharchenko, associate professor, Ph.D. A. A. Kovalenko, prof., Ph.D. S. O. Subbotin and Associate Professor, Ph.D. A.O.
