Love and passion in «Moulin Rouge»
The «Student Spring 2015» season has begun! An extravaganza of exciting and unparalleled performances, a celebration of grace, voice, dance and fun, a unique talent show – this is what the «Student Spring» competition means. This year, ZNTU students will surprise the audience even more with their performances, unusual abilities and prove that the title «ZNTU student» means something more than just studying.
The first to please the audience with a concert were the students of the Physical and Technical Institute, as part of the Electrical Engineering and Engineering and Physics Faculties. On March 13, Friday, the assembly hall of «Mashinka» turned into the Parisian Montmartre. Narrow streets with tiny restaurants, accordion sounds, the smell of croissants, and, of course, cabaret. Glitter, grace, beauty, a little debauchery, girls in short skirts and corsets, boys in tailcoats and air filled with love. This was the atmosphere in the auditorium. The students of FTI allegedly turned back time, to the riotous years, and showed what a real cabaret is. In addition, the boys and girls proved that burlesque is not only debauchery, dancing in short skirts and a world where money decides everything. It turns out that there is also a place for true love.
The storyline of FTI’s student spring is quite simple – the eternal choice between money and true love. You must have thought that, like in all romantic movies, the main character chose a poor but romantic writer? No, the audience was in for a surprise. All the aggravation of passions and intrigue was a simple flirtation, a deception for the benefit of the cabaret. All numbers, from a folk block, to clowning and pantomime, fit well into the storyline. In general, the concert passed in one breath. The students were impressed by the degree of understanding of the topic and performance of the numbers. Maybe not everything was perfect technically, but the main thing – the mood and emotion – were at the highest level.
At the very end, FTI set a high bar for the following institutes. It is very interesting what will happen next with such a strong start. Thank you to the students of the Institute of Physics and Technology for a wonderful Friday evening. We look forward to the next performances.
