Hackathon at the Department of Software Tools of ZNTU

With the assistance of the rector of the Zaporizhzhia National Technical University S.B. On October 20, 2018, a hackathon «Hack for Dnipro» was held for Zaporizhzhia schoolchildren on the basis of the Department of Software Tools of ZNTU, together with the NGO «Ekosens» as part of the activities of the joint «Smart Kids School of Robotics and Programming». More than 40 students of schools that participated in the hackathon, with the support of school teachers and the advice of mentors – scientists of the Department of Software Tools of ZNTU, developed interesting ideas for projects to improve the condition of the Dnipro River and other bodies of water using robotics and programming technologies.

The jury of the competition, which included representatives of ZNTU, ZNU, «Zaporizhstal», Computools and NGO «Ekosens», evaluated and selected the best projects for further support. Gifts and goodies from sponsors were pleasant for all participants.

– Computools company ( https://www.computools.com ) is an American software development company with over 150 employees, which has its own office in Zaporizhzhia and is interested in the development of the regional labor market for IT specialists.
