The department of software tools of ZNTU is expanding cooperation with IT enterprises of the region

May 18, 2017 at the Department of Software Tools of ZNTU with the support of the international projects «Internet of Things: Emerging Curriculum for Industry and Human Applications» (ALIOT, Ref. number 573818-EPP-1-2016-1-UK-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP) of the Erasmus+ program and «Centers of Excellence for young RESearchers» (CERES, Ref. number 544137-TEMPUS-1-2013-1-SK-TEMPUS-JPHES) of the Tempus program of the European Union, there was a meeting of third-year students of specialties 121 «Software engineering» and 122 «Computer science» with representatives of leading IT companies of the Zaporizhzhia region.

Head of the laboratory of the software department, assistant A.V. Belova told the students about the procedure for registration and passing of industrial practice. Head of the Department of Software Tools, Doctor of Technical Sciences, prof. S.O. Subbotin spoke about the cooperation of the department with the IT enterprises of the region and the prospects of internships at them.

Representatives of the companies Incode ( https://incode-it.com/ ), Squro ( http://squro.com/en/ ), Light IT ( https://light-it.net/ ), Beetroot Academy ( https://academy.beetroot.se/ ), Apriorit ( https://www.apriorit.com/ ) and Livestream ( https://livestream.com/ ) spoke to students with stories about opportunities for internships and further employment at enterprises. The speakers’ presentations allowed students to get an idea of ​​office equipment and working conditions of companies in the city of Zaporizhzhia, their requirements for employees, available vacancies, and ongoing projects. Students received information booklets and business cards of companies. Souvenirs (notebooks, pens, candies) that were distributed by companies during the meeting were also pleasant and useful for students.

After the event, representatives of the companies held a meeting with the head of the department of software S.O. On Saturday During the meeting, cooperation agreements with Incode and Squro companies were agreed upon, further cooperation with Light IT and Livestream companies, as well as prospects for cooperation with Apriorit and Beetroot Academy companies were discussed.

The participants of the event noted the existence of a great need for IT personnel in the Zaporizhzhia region, Ukraine and the world, expressed interest in broad cooperation with the department of software tools of ZNTU, employment of its students and graduates, integration of the educational process of the department and the production process of companies.

The cooperation of the Department of Software Tools of ZNTU with the IT enterprises of the region ensures employment guarantees for students and graduates, allows to contribute to the improvement of the educational process by strengthening the practical component and organizing the transfer of knowledge in the triangle of knowledge «science-education-production».
