The anniversary of the department – a personal exhibition!

On June 20, 2012, in the exhibition hall of the regional organization of the Union of Artists of Ukraine, the grand opening of the personal exhibition of the Honored Artist of Ukraine, Head of the Department of «Design» of the Zaporizhzhia National Technical University, Oleksandr Demydenko, took place. It presented a significant number of works by the master, and although this is only the tip of the iceberg, the volume of work is impressive.

First of all, it should be noted that all the works are diverse. The large number of styles creates the deceptive impression that the works were performed by different people. However, this is not so.

Bright paintings from the open air, depicting the landscapes of Italy, Montenegro and Crimea, have very characteristic and relief strokes. This part of the works is very bright and delicious in shades. In each color there are reflections of dozens of others.

Dark icons, created in their own special technique, fascinate the eye.

Light, as if airy, figures of naked women in the paintings evoke images of ancient sculptures.

The diversity of all techniques, plots and images at the exhibition is impossible to describe, because it is better to see once than to read about them hundreds of times.

It should be noted that 2012 marks the 10th anniversary of the «Design» specialty at ZNTU and 5 years since the creation of the «Design» department of the Faculty of Humanities of ZNTU.
