IT-forum as a means of realizing the triangle of knowledge «science-education-production» in the training of young information technology specialists
With the assistance of the Zaporizhzhia City Council and the organizational support of the Student Trade Union Committee of ZNTU, the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of ZNTU, the «Centers of Excellence for Young Scientists» project (CERES, reg. No. 544137-TEMPUS-1-2013-1-SK-TEMPUS-JPHE) of the European Union’s «Tempus» program, implemented at the Department of Software Tools of ZNTU, the participation of over 100 students, graduate students and young teachers of ZNTU at the IT forum held on September 16, 2016 in the premises of the «Cossack Palace».
IT-forum is an annual conference that gathers specialists in the field of information technologies interested in exchanging experiences. An important result of the forum was the creation of a single platform for communication between students and teachers of Zaporizhzhia universities, practical workers and management of IT companies of the Zaporizhzhia region. This allows us to consider the IT forum as a means of implementing the triangle of knowledge «education-science-production» in the training of young information technology specialists.
The forum was held in the format of a one-day BarCamp in four streams of reports. It was attended by the most famous representatives of the IT sphere.
Within the stream «IT / BUSINESS», the speakers shared their experience of conducting business in the field of information technologies. Reports were heard by R. Shurma «I-Metallurgy», M. Marchenko «Automation of business processes», M. Ryabokony «Noosphere ecosystem of creating global engineering products», O. Konstantinov «Are IT services needed in retail trade», I. Zakrevsky «Internet of things is not only smart things, but also a great opportunity to find yourself in it», E. Yavtushenko «Problems of development of regional content projects and ways to solve them using the example of the CitySites network of city sites», D. Mykytyuk «Modernization of Ukrtelecom as a base for the development of IT services in Ukraine», E. Deyneka «Activation of personal business potential». O. Shcherbiny «Mobile in e-commerce projects: traffic, analytics, optimization», V. Savchenko «Optimization of international cash flows», I. Radionova «Application of modern IT solutions to ensure continuity, efficiency and effectiveness of the patrol police of the city of Zaporizhzhia».
Current topics in the field of web development, creation of mobile applications and services were discussed within the stream «WEB / MOBILE DEVELOPMENT». Among the speakers of the stream were the graduates of the Department of Software Tools of ZNTU Volodymyr Shkryabets with the report «Processing and encoding of video in real time mode on Android» and Dmytro Panin with the report «Overview of the capabilities of the IOS SDK for video processing».
Within the MARKETING stream, issues of sales and communication with clients via the Internet were discussed. Internet marketing specialists talked about the principles of increasing sales, promoting brands and working with customers using digital marketing.
Within the «FREE-SPACE» stream, young entrepreneurs shared their experience of earning money as a freelancer, about the possibility of earning remotely and creating a successful business on the Internet.
An exhibition of robots, developments in the field of three-dimensional printing and a presentation of regional companies were also held at the forum.
Participation in the forum allowed teachers of ZNTU to expand contacts with enterprises of the region, and students to find potential employers. This significantly strengthens the ties between the university and the industry and opens up new horizons of cooperation.
