Integration of ZNTU into the European educational space
From September 12 to 14, 2016, at the University of Constantine the Philosopher in Nitra (Slovakia) according to the project plan TEMPUS 544091-TEMPUS-1-2013-1-BE-TEMPUS-JPCR [DESIRE] «Development of embedded systems courses using innovative approaches for the integration of education, science and production in Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia» International Symposium «Embedded Systems and Modern Trends in Engineering Education» was held.
ZNTU presented seven reports that were included in the collection «Proceedings of the International Symposium on Embedded Systems and Trends in Teaching Engineering» (ISBN 978-80-558-1040-9).
Teachers of ZNTU also took part in the training «Basys3 – Training in FPGA», which was conducted by representatives of Digilent (Romania).
The ZNTU delegation led by rector Professor Serhiy Belikov met with representatives of European higher education institutions: Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium), Thomas More University College Mechelen-Antwerp Campus de Nayer (Belgium), Ilmenau University of Technology (Germany), University of Applied Sciences and Arts (Dortmund, Germany), etc.
Rector of ZNTU Belikov S.B. led the work of the Round Table, which was devoted to the assessment of the quality of higher education and the prospects of cooperation of partner countries in educational and research projects.
Rector S.B. Belikov met with the Rector of the University of Constantine the Philosopher, Professor Lubomyr Zelenitskyi. The main purpose of the rector’s visit was to discuss the achievements of joint international educational projects, the results of international cooperation and the prospects for further participation of ZNTU in the European educational and scientific projects HORISONT 2020, ERASMUS+, etc.
The delegation from ZNTU visited the Slovak Agrarian University (SAU) in Nitra and met with the rector, Professor Petro Belik, the Vice-Rector for Development Prospects, Professor Eleonora Marishova, and the Vice-Rector for International Activities, Vladislav Valach. As a result of the negotiations, it was decided to form a delegation of representatives of scientific fields from ZNTU to SAU in November 2016 to create a basis for further scientific and pedagogical cooperation, as well as to submit an application for ZNTU to join the Visegrad Association of Universities.
The Visegrad Association of Universities was established in November 2011 to promote closer cooperation between the countries of the Visegrad Group (Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia), as well as non-EU countries in Eastern Europe, the Western Balkans and the South Caucasus. The International Visegrad Foundation offers grants, supports cultural, scientific and educational projects, promotes youth exchanges and provides scholarships under mobility programs.
Together with colleagues from partner universities in Europe, Ukraine, Georgia and Armenia, ZNTU representatives discussed the main trends in the training of qualified specialists capable of solving the problems of Industrial Revolution 4.0, as well as modern teaching methods and new courses on embedded systems.
