Information day of the ERASMUS+ Program of the European Union in the field of higher education

On December 10, 2015, the National Erasmus+ office in Ukraine (EU project) held an Information Day of the European Union Program ERASMUS+ in the field of higher education on the basis of the Zaporizhzhia National University.

The program of the Information Day of the Erasmus+ Program included two sessions: for higher education institutions on inter-university cooperation, and for students, teachers, administrative staff on individual learning opportunities.

During the Information Day session, the structure of the ERASMUS+ Program in the field of higher education was presented; rules for the participation of Ukrainian higher education institutions in competitions in the following areas: «Educational mobility», «Development of the potential of higher education» (former Tempus Program), «Jean Monet», as well as recommendations for the preparation of project applications.

Participants of the session on individual academic opportunities under the Erasmus+ Program were familiarized with information about the specifics of studying for credit and degree mobility, in particular, under joint Erasmus+ master’s and doctoral (PhD) programs, receiving scholarships for study, teaching, and internships.

The Information Day of the Erasmus+ Program was attended by 5 representatives of ZNTU, in particular from the department of international relations and work with foreign students and the department of aircraft engine technology. During the event, participants had the opportunity to get answers to questions, as well as to consult with managers of NEOs in Ukraine regarding current and future projects, individual participation in Erasmus+ program competitions.

On December 11, 2015, a training for representatives of higher educational institutions of Ukraine on writing project applications as part of the Erasmus+ program was also held on the basis of ZNU. 25 representatives of various universities of Ukraine took part in the training, including a representative of the department of international relations and work with foreign students of ZNTU.

During the training, the principles of building application forms were considered, recommendations were given for the preparation of project applications (logical-structural matrix, work packages, etc.) in the areas of «Development of the potential of higher education», «Credit mobility», «Jean Monet».
