What should our university website look like?

In connection with the further development of the university website in order to determine the need for its modernization, we ask you to prepare proposals for the development of the concept and navigation structure of the ZNTU website and submit them to the Center for Innovation and Information and Technical Support of the Educational Process by June 21, 2013. institutes or heads of structural divisions.

In proposals for the development of the ZNTU site concept, the following points must be considered:

• Goals and tasks of the site (It is worth clearly defining what goals and tasks you set for the site, since all further actions on the development and development strategy of the site depend on this).
• Potential audience of the site (It is worth specifying the intended audience and determining its needs).
• Site design (The site, of course, should be unique and «beautiful», but do not forget that it should be convenient and understandable for the user; you should decide on the optimal ratio of text and graphic components).
• Functionality of the site (You should pay due attention to the functionality of the site – determine the software components that are needed to perform the tasks of the site).
• Content requirements (In addition to the fact that the content of the site must be informative, all information must be presented in a user-friendly form; it is worth detailing all the required types of material).
• Plans and opportunities for development (It is worth considering the possibility and strategies for the development of the site and its promotion on the Internet).

In proposals for the development of the navigation structure of the ZNTU site, it is worth paying special attention not only to the content of the site and its information strategy, but also to think through the possible path of users through the pages of the site, that is, to develop a navigation that should be intuitive to every visitor, so that users can quickly and without particular difficulties find the necessary information.
