How to achieve your goal?
On November 1, 2014, a training seminar was held for students of the trade union bureau of the FCNT, conducted by Vsevolod Ogol, an entrepreneur and business coach. The event was held in the Central Social Security Office of the dormitory No. 4 of ZNTU with the support of the trade union committee of ZNTU students.
The introduction was a conversation about sincerity. The questions were: what does sincerity mean?, where is it located?, what prevents the full realization of sincerity?, what contributes to increasing sincerity?. Students reflected, responded, discovered something new for themselves, discussed different points of view.
The seminar was held according to the following plan:
- Identify the true request;
- Desire («Field of intention»);
- Mechanism of achievement.
In the first point, everyone defined their main goal.
Next, Vsevolod Ogol demonstrated the meaning of a specific main goal for each person. To do this, it was necessary to answer the question: how will you feel when you achieve the goal? It was important to track your feelings, imagining yourself on the path to your dream sequentially at the following points: starting point (current state), goal achievement, and intention (in the name of something greater?).
It is also necessary to know how you want, when you really want, in order to determine the mechanism for achieving your goal. You need to draw up a diagram that represents the sequence of events and emotions when a person wants and achieves something; identify the point that is missing in cases where the goal was not achieved. This will allow you to understand what is needed to get what you want.
Everyone has their own path to their dream, Vsevolod Ogol illustrated this with students who went to different doors (dreams) from different points in the room, symbolizing the stages of life.
This training was useful, because it helped to realize the significance of actions and desires in general. This is very important, especially for trade unions that organize people and lead them. And for trade unions, such training seminars are needed as a means of team building, gaining cohesion and useful skills for working with people.
