I’m in a dormitory, what’s next?

Professional committee of students of ZNTU is glad to meet freshmen. At the end of last week, on September 8, an assembly was held for students who have just become residents of our campus. Everything – from the rules of living in a dormitory to accessible sections and groups – was explained to the «newbies» by the head of the trade union committee of students of ZNTU Andrii Volodymyrovych Ivanchenko and his assistants.

Auditorium 320 on such days is completely filled with interested students every year. This meeting was no exception: after all, every conscientious first-year student strives to better navigate the new environment and to join a successful student life as soon as possible. First of all, a «machine operator» living in a dormitory should know that the youth special unit «Shield» closely monitors order and discipline. The head of «Shield» Vasyl Fedorovych Devochkin told the audience in detail about the activities of his special wife, and also invited everyone who wanted to join their noble cause. Then the floor was taken by the deputy director of the ZNTU student campus Vadym Serhiyovych Keda. He voiced the most interesting information about living in a dormitory, as well as how to avoid all misunderstandings and live in harmony with others. Dmytro Mykhailovych Kapustyan, head of dormitory No. 2 of ZNTU, also spoke about living standards. Directors of Student Self-Government Centers No. 3 and No. 4 Ihor Tokmakov and Nazarii Ivanytskyi told the students about ways to spend their free time with benefit. After all, circles operate on the basis of our CCS: from sports sections to various dances, as well as a model studio, fitness and so on. Yurii Murashkovskii, administrator of the Center for Culture and Leisure of ZNTU students, also spoke. He enlivened the audience with a lively interactive, as if demonstrating what talents can be discovered by working out in our circles: studios of the spoken genre, acting skills, KVN. Our CCDS also offers to discover vocal talent in the «Viva» studio, to try on the role of a radio host or DJ, and much more. Serhiy Krysanov, head of the fan club of sports teams from the trade union committee of students of ZNTU, invited us to cheer for our handball and basketball players, talking about the opportunity to travel around the cities of Ukraine with the teams absolutely free. Director of the Center for Employment Promotion of Students and Graduates of ZNTU Maryna Zinchenko talked about employment opportunities for our youth.

In general, the meeting took place in a fun and easy way. Each raised question can be undoubtedly called important and relevant. Students were able to voice their concerns directly and get answers immediately.
