Global Money Week 2025
On March 11, classes in the «Financial Literacy» module of the «Humanitarian Mosaic» group of the Children and Youth Scientific University «Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic» began.
The classes are held as part of the Global Money Week 2025, in which more than 100 countries of the world participate every year. The National Bank of Ukraine is the official coordinator of Global Money Week in Ukraine: https://events.bank.gov.ua/gmw2025
Global Money Week is an annual campaign that teaches young people financial literacy to make informed decisions and achieve financial stability.
Students in grades 9–11 examined the first steps in keeping track of expenses in order to form the principles of frugality in financial behavior and attitude to financial issues, in particular by determining personal preferences for spending or savings as part of a comprehensive approach to forming a high culture of financial literacy among schoolchildren.
During the lesson, schoolchildren studied the following concepts: family expenses, mandatory and optional expenses, alternative value, money thieves, needs, savings, reserve fund, financial stability, financial goal, diversification, deposit, passive income, inflation, frugal consumption.
