The Boris Kolesnikov Foundation announced the names of one hundred winners of the «Aviator 2018» project who will go to London
The winners of the educational project «Aviator 2018» have been announced, which was implemented for the seventh time by the Boris Kolesnikov Foundation for students of technical specialties in Ukraine. More than 8,000 contestants from 50 universities in the country took part in the competition.
On April 12, on International Aviation and Cosmonautics Day, the President of the Foundation Boris Kolesnikov presented diplomas to the hundred best contestants who passed three stages of testing in key subjects and successfully defended their projects in the final. The President of the Foundation congratulated the young aviators on their victory and future trip to the Farnborough International Air Show in London. «I am very pleased with the level of training of the students, their interest in »Aviator«, business ideas. There are several projects of the contestants that have practical application. These include works where aviation closely cooperates with the agricultural sector. For example, there are proposals to use drones that help farmers and agrarians, and this is relatively inexpensive. One of the contestants suggested cleaning up space debris. While our mayors cannot solve the problem of garbage disposal on Earth, aviators know how to clean it up in space. This is proof that our youth is an order of magnitude ahead of the knowledge and skills of today’s individual representatives of state administration,» said Boris Kolesnikov.
According to statistics, the specialized M. E. Zhukovsky National Aerospace University «KHAI» turned out to be the leader in the number of winners of «Aviator 2018» among the participating higher educational institutions. Among the non-specialized educational institutions, one can single out Donetsk National Technical University (Pokrovsk), Zaporizhzhia National Technical University (Zaporizhzhia) and the National Technical University of Ukraine «Kyiv Polytechnic Institute named after I. Sikorsky» with decent training of their students. Among the winners from ZNTU – second-year graduate student Mykhailiutenko Oleh Anatoliyovych and students Nemanezhyn Yevhen Oleksandrovych (gr. M-614), Zheleznyakov Andriy Mykolayovych (gr. M-625sp) and Nagalyuk Maryna Andriyivna (gr. M-625sp).
The chairman of the jury of «Aviator 2018», the famous aircraft designer Dmytro Kiva, wished the winners of the competition to realize their ideas and realize their professional dreams. «In the finals of the competition, very strong students, representatives of leading technical universities of Ukraine, turned out.
