The Boris Kolesnikov Foundation announced the names of one hundred winners of the «Aviator-2016» project

On April 22, the Boris Kolesnikov Charitable Foundation summed up the results of the all-Ukrainian project «Aviator-2016», which it has been implementing for students of aviation technical specialties for the fifth year in a row.

The expert jury of «Aviator-2016», headed by the legendary designer Dmytro Kiva, selected one hundred of the most promising and purposeful young aviators from all over Ukraine. They have six difficult stages behind them, including testing their knowledge of exact sciences, testing the basics and history of aviation, English, solving a business case and defending motivational presentations at the finale of the project. A worthy award awaits the contestants – a trip to the Farnborough International Air Show in London.

In the two largest specialized universities of Ukraine – Kyiv National Aviation University and Kharkiv National Aerospace University named after N. E. Zhukovsky «KHAI» – representatives of the Boris Kolesnikov Charitable Foundation and members of the expert jury announced the names of the winners of the «Aviator 2016» project.

Sofiia Mudryk, Director of the Boris Kolesnikov Foundation, emphasized: «Our task, as the organizer of the competition, is to give students of aviation technical specialties the opportunity to declare themselves and demonstrate their achievements and achievements to industry experts. Of the three thousand participants of »Aviator-2016″ We have formed a team of one hundred winners: it includes the best young pilots, aircraft designers and controllers. These talented young people will visit the Farnborough Air Show, where they will encounter the real world of aviation and see the latest achievements of the world’s aircraft giants. This will be a huge motivation for them in the future.

General designer of the Antonov State Enterprise and chairman of the Aviator-2016 project jury Dmytro Kiva noted the high level of knowledge of the future aviators: «I am very pleased with the competitive selection – the winning team included the most purposeful and talented Ukrainian students. Almost all of them already have experience of internships abroad, scientific papers, and interesting developments. Some of the contestants were so liked by the jury members that they invited them to undergo internships with subsequent employment at the best enterprises in Ukraine. Such specialists are not afraid to entrust the industry – to design an aircraft or pilot it.»

The winning students did not hide their admiration, they say – they are proud of themselves and are looking forward to the upcoming trip to the UK. Among the winners of the competition are students and graduates of the Zaporizhzhia National Technical University, namely – Blahun Vadim (gr. M-721m), Panasenko Illia (gr. M-721m), Kolokolov Oleksandr (gr. M-711), Mankov Stanislav (gr. M-612) and the 2015 master’s graduate – Panin Volodymyr (gr. M-720m).

Let us recall that the charitable project «Aviator» is designed to support students of aviation technical specialties and encourage the best of them with trips to the Farnborough International Aviation Forums in the UK and Le Bourget in France. The competition consists of six stages, in which students demonstrate their knowledge, ingenuity and practical skills. This year, three thousand students from all over Ukraine registered to participate in the project. 200 contestants reached the final.
