The Boris Kolesnikov Foundation launched the «Aviator 2018» competition for students of technical specialties
On October 24, the ceremonial opening of the educational project «Aviator 2018» was held at the Kirovohrad Flight Academy of NAU.
It is held by the Boris Kolesnikov Charitable Foundation for the seventh year in a row. During this time, the project covered all the leading technical universities of Ukraine, attracted 12,000 students, and 400 of them became winners of «Aviator» and visited the best aviation forums in the world – Farnborough in London and Le Bourget in Paris. For its large-scale contribution to the development of science and education in Ukraine, the Charitable Fund became the winner of the National Rating of Philanthropists-2017 ( http://kolesnikovfund.org/ru/news/1525 ), and Ukrainian students call the organization the best charitable fund for youth in the country, which helps make dreams come true.
The President of the Charitable Foundation, Boris Kolesnikov, congratulated the young people on the start of the next season of «Aviator», wished them an interesting competition, to represent their universities in the competition and brilliantly defend their projects in the finals. «I am glad to see so many young, intelligent and talented boys and girls. Over the past years, hundreds of winners and tens of thousands of participants have found a worthy use for their intelligence and talent. They visited the best air shows in the world, saw the work of their colleagues. I have no doubt that their knowledge will form the basis of the foundation of Ukraine, which will take its rightful place among the world’s strongest economies,» Borys Kolesnikov emphasized.
During the solemn opening of the competition, the organizers presented the updated composition of the jury. It was traditionally headed by the famous aircraft designer Dmytro Kiva. He will be assisted in judging by: Anton Volov – a graduate of Harvard University and winner of the «Future Leaders in Transport» scholarship of the Eno Center for Transportation (USA); Maksym Gladskyi – head of the department for academic relations and personnel training of «Progresstech-Ukraine»; Yevhen Ivanov – director of the Emirates representative office in Ukraine; Serhii Khizhnyak – transport manager of the 2018 UEFA Champions League Final; Oleksandr Cherepanov is the director of production coordination and support at Interavia.
