Flash mob for Mother’s Day

On Sunday, May 14, a Mother’s Day flash mob was held on Mayakovsky Square, where ZNTU students launched balloons in honor of the great respect for mothers.

Zaporizhzhia residents and guests of the city were waiting for various master classes, salt dough modeling lessons, creating dolls-winders and postcards for mothers, as well as a concert and contests with gifts.

The organizer of the holiday was the Department for Work with Youth and Family of the Zaporizhzhia City Council.

Deputy Mayor Anatoliy Pustovarov awarded mothers of many children with Certificates of Honor from the Executive Committee of the Zaporizhzhia City Council, as well as symbolic gifts.

At the end of the holiday, students of Zaporizhzhia higher educational institutions lined up in the word «Mother» and launched multi-colored balloons into the sky. Each letter of a certain color was lined up by a separate university. ZNTU students got the letter «A» in green. ZNTU students were distinguished by great organization and unity.

It is worth noting that Mother’s Day is an international holiday. On this day, it is customary to congratulate all pregnant women and mothers. In Ukraine, this holiday is traditionally celebrated on the second Sunday of May.

I would like to congratulate all mothers on this bright and kind holiday and wish healthy and grateful children. Love your mothers, they not only gave us life, but every day, taking care of us, they try to make it even better!
