The final part of the autumn campus volleyball cup
On October 9, the trio of prize-winning teams of the autumn campus volleyball cup were determined in the ZNTU sports complex. The teams «Dormitory No. 2», «Dormitory No. 4», «ZEK» and «ZKR ZNTU» participated in the two decisive matches.
Of course, the most interesting was left for later, so first we saw the match for third and fourth place, which was played by «ZEK» and «ZKR ZNTU». The teams entered the game for a long time, only giving each other «easy prey» in the form of inaccurate shots. Nevertheless, after a while, the players of «ZKR ZNTU» were the first to recover, and they began to demonstrate a confident game. And «ZEK» could not do it: the net only swayed from their own goals. Unfortunately, there was no revenge in the second set, so «ZKR ZNTU» coolly brought the match to its logical conclusion. A confident 2:0 victory and a well-deserved bronze.
Final matches usually not only provide a high-quality game, but also direct a furious tension at the spectators. This match was no exception. From the first minutes, the players of the 4th dormitory seized the initiative. They did not let go of it for a long time, but when the game was close to the end, the opponent began to win back. Not only that, he took the lead! It was something. The energy of the players of the 2nd dormitory radiated a thirst for battle (it should be noted that every time one of their players served, they applauded with increasing speed and noise, which created a unique atmosphere). The team of the 4th dormitory could only respond to this with powerful forwards, who literally screwed the balls into the opponent’s field, which turned out to be a more effective method – 1:0. The second game justifiably promised to be interesting. And so it happened: in a very close fight, the team «Dormitory No. 2» snatched victory. It is not very clear where the fatal breakthrough occurred, but they did not have enough enthusiasm for the third game. 2:1. Dormitory No. 4 celebrates its victory in the autumn campus volleyball cup, and we congratulate them!
