Arts festival from IUP
On October 20, 2017, a concert of the Institute of Management and Law for the «Festival of Arts 2017/18» competition was held in the ZNTU assembly hall. What kind of competition is this? – you might ask. And indeed – as if this had never been done before. But it was held, I will tell you, but it was called «Studvesna», sometimes «Studosinn». What has changed now, except the name of course? The most important change can be safely defined as the fact that the «Festival of Arts» will be held over two academic semesters, alternating its concerts with the games of the KVN Closed League for the ZNTU Rector’s Cup. There were also some changes in the rules of the contest itself. Why were these changes made? Do they make sense? It will definitely be possible to answer these questions at the end of the season, but now let’s talk about the first concert under the new format, and, of course, the press service of the ZNTU students’ trade union committee could not miss it!
Traditionally, the representatives of Themis were present at the celebration, the distinguished jury of the «Festival of Arts 2017/18» included: Oleh Zima, Viktoriya Kominova, Dmytro Shendryk, Darya Bilotserkovets, Oleksandr Goncharov, Viktoriya Gorbachova, Gari Moroz, Hlib Zaitsev.
The plot was unusual, the story about Princess Bubblegum, her friends and enemies was created and developed on the stage. (We all know the cartoon «Adventure time», the concert was based on it.) The princess is a kind, gentle, fragile girl researcher who wants to save the world with her nanoinvention, but she is unexpectedly taken prisoner by the king from Snow Mountain. And while her good friends are looking for her, they meet a lot of funny, talented, funny, kind, unusual people on their way. There were dances, songs sounded, eternity sounded, the eternity that yesterday settled in the heart of every attentive listener because of the recited poems. Also, many theatrical skits unfolded on the stage. In general, the concert was not perfect, but not bad either. The human factor should be taken into account everywhere: the team is still quite young, people have done everything in their power. Success comes with experience. Moreover, the first is always more difficult.
Fortunately, the story ended happily: the princess was saved, and therefore the world will be saved. This is the most important thing.
Talents at IUP, believe me, are quite enough: here you can find gymnasts, oriental dancers, a rock band, bell-voiced beauties, and female dancers, after all, beautiful actors. We would like to thank you for the holiday and wish you even more creative ideas, ideas, take-offs and more than one performance on our stage. Just believe in yourself, in your strengths, don’t give up and constantly improve.
Vasilyna Havyak,
Press service of the trade union committee of students of ZNTU
