Faculty of Construction, Architecture and Design!
According to the decision of the Scientific Council of ZNTU No. 2 dated 10.10.2017 and the general meeting of ZNTU dated 10.10.2017 at the initiative of ZNTU rector Professor S.B. Belikov – a new structural unit was formed within the Physical and Technical Institute – the Faculty of Construction, Architecture and Design (acting dean of the faculty Prof. E.Yu. Antipenko). The merger of two dynamic graduate departments – construction production (prof. V. I. Donenko) and design (assistant professor L. M. Koval) into the faculty is not only a large student family, which will number more than 400 students, but also a significant scientific and pedagogical potential, the strategic goal of which is the formation of qualified specialists in construction production, architecture, design and composite materials with appropriate modern specializations to ensure the economic attractiveness of future architectural, construction and design products of the Zaporizhzhia region.
The faculty includes six departments:
– construction production and project management (Prof. V.I. Donenko);
– design (assistant professor L.M. Koval);
– composite materials, chemistry and technologies (prof. Mityaev O.A.);
– mechanics (assistant professor V.G. Shevchenko);
– labor and environmental protection (associate professor O.V. Nesterov);
– entrepreneurship, trade and stock market activity (Prof. A.M. Tkachenko).
Currently, at the Faculty of Construction, Architecture and Design, students obtain higher education in the following majors and specializations:
- 192 – Construction and civil engineering (Specialization «Industrial and civil construction»);
- 132 – Materials science (Specialization «Composite and powder, materials, coatings»);
- 073 – Management (Specialization «Management in construction» and «Project management»);
- 076 – Entrepreneurship, trade and exchange activity (Specialization «Economics of the enterprise»);
- 022 – Design (Specialization «Design»).
The main areas of educational and scientific activity of the new Faculty of Health Sciences of ZNTU are the intensification of the training of qualified specialists in the field of construction, architecture, design, materials science and economics according to the latest technologies, which meet the modern requirements and needs of the Zaporizhzhia region. An important feature of the scientific work of the faculty’s departments is the organic unity of scientific and educational processes.
