«Allow me to introduce myself!»
It was a rather cold autumn evening, despite the fact that it was six o’clock in the evening on September 25. I was walking along Zhukovsky Street and could not miss the building, the address of which you all probably know very well: 64 Zhukovsky Street – the main building of my native «Mashinka». From there came music, warm applause and sincere laughter, it was simply impossible to pass by! Having risen to the 3rd floor, I opened the door to the assembly hall, where the action was already beginning, quickly found a free seat (it was not easy, because there were a lot of people), and opened my soul to new impressions.
It was not just a concert, it was a performance full of warmth and talent, which was called «Allow me to introduce myself». The concert, which aimed to show everyone, and first of all, first-year students, that it is possible, without leaving the university, to realize one’s talents and most secret desires. It was a real holiday, created by students for students and about themselves. This year’s concert was special, I don’t know if it was similar to the last one or to those that were once before, but I feel that this one was not the same as before! If only because, in addition to the university stars, we saw first-year students who did not lack enthusiasm, and they took to the stage to prove to others, and maybe to themselves, that they are also talented and charismatic! Denys Zolotarev and Mykhailo Gerasymchuk – amazed with their unsurpassed vocals. Denys also demonstrated his guitar skills, and as for Mykhailo, it turned out that he is a real star who has long known what show business is. This holiday was full of various emotions, because lyrical compositions from the ZNTU vocal ensemble «Viva» and Anastasiia Bezverkhaya very aptly intersected with very sharp jokes from the KVN teams «Zaporozhsky vector – Machine – ZNTU» and «RP-Duchess». Among the vocalists, I really remembered the duet of girls from the ZNTU vocal ensemble «Viva», because they sang: «… Mom, when I’m next to him, I forget where, I forget who I am…», the first association, oddly enough, was the university, because every creative person lives the life of their beloved «Machine» not only during the couples, but also after or before. As for the pride of the university – the funk aerobics team – multiple winners of the Cup of Ukraine, Champions of Ukraine and Europe under the leadership of Shekhovtsova Kateryna, there are no words here: only a very modest «Bravo!». After the performance of each of the dance groups, or during their performances, I wanted to get up from my seat and perform those complex steps and supports with them. I can’t forget about the «strong» part of this show, which was not inferior to «Ukraine’s Got Talent»! The guys from the youth special unit «SHIELD» did the impossible, you can have no doubt about your safety with them, because they are efficient, strong and smart. Or the martial arts club «Musubi» or the Boxing Section at the Center for Student Self-Government of ZNTU, which completely dispelled the very fashionable idea about «women’s men»: with their actions they showed that real men exist!
Backstage, I managed to talk to many stars of ZNTU: Mariia Kabak and Taras Klymenko, who already have good experience in communicating with the audience through movements and dance, with girls from the dance group «Sapphira-dance», who in a few seconds transport you to the fabulous atmosphere of the countries of the East, and others. All together, they formed 3 main qualities that are needed to be successful on stage: the first – hard work, the second – a large backpack of patience, and the third – self-confidence and strength. According to this simple recipe, everyone will be able to achieve their goal not only in creativity, but in life in general. And the director of the Center for Culture and Leisure of ZNTU students – Viktoriya Volodymyrivna Kominova, managed to learn that getting on stage is very easy, you just need to have talent and be ready for the trials of fame.
I will remember these unforgettable impressions for a long time, because it is truly unforgettable! Such a warm, almost homely atmosphere in the circle of friends, which warms from the cold autumn evenings. Traditions that are observed and respected – this is expensive, it must be appreciated! I am proud that I am now a student of ZNTU, because from the first weeks of my stay here I understand: ZNTU – this is my family!
