Access to Scopus — the international abstract and scientometric database from November 1, 2017!
The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine ensured the connection of more than 100 Ukrainian higher education institutions and scientific institutions of the Ministry of Education and Culture to international scientific databases at the expense of the state budget (in particular, 68 institutions received access to the Scopus database, and 64 to the Web of Science). The connection was made through the State Scientific and Technical Library, which allowed as a wholesale buyer to reduce the cost of the subscription.
In the city of Zaporizhzhia, 2 universities gained access to international scientometric databases:
Zaporizhzhia National Technical University on November 1, 2017 received access to SCOPUS, the world’s largest universal abstract and bibliographic scientometric database from the Elsevier company.
Zaporizhsky National University – got access to Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics).
We draw the attention of scientists that in accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Sports, the institution that received access is obliged to provide it in the computer rooms of its libraries to everyone who wishes – regardless of which institutions and institutions they represent!
Scopus is the largest international abstract and scientometric database of peer-reviewed literature: scientific journals, books and conference materials. The resource indexes more than 21,500 peer-reviewed scientific journals (about 60 million records) from various fields of knowledge – natural sciences, mathematics, engineering, technology, health care and medicine, social sciences and humanities, as well as 130,000 books. Scopus also tracks citation data and calculates various research metrics.
Among the advantages of this database, it is worth noting a convenient and simple interface, the ability to see results by all possible search sources, including a detailed picture by journal titles, authors and co-authors, organizations, years, types of publications, etc.
Access to this database can be obtained from all computers connected to the Internet through the network of the Zaporizhzhia National Technical University.
