Student’s Day at the Cinema!
On November 17, all university youth celebrate International Student’s Day. In honor of this, on November 14, the Dovzhenko Cinema and Concert Hall hosted the «Student Autumn». The celebration was attended by about 300 representatives of the student community of higher educational institutions of Zaporizhzhia, as well as such distinguished guests as the Head of the Department for Work with Youth, Family and Extracurricular Educational Work of the Department of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of the Zaporizhzhia City Council Ihor Serhiyovych Filipenko, Chairman of the Council of Rectors of the Zaporizhzhia Region, Rector of the Zaporizhzhia National Technical University Professor Serhiy Borisovich Belikov, Chairman of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Council, Chairman of the Trade Union Committee of ZNTU Students Andriy Volodymyrovych Ivanchenko. The program included a concert with the participation of talented youth of Zaporizhzhia and a demonstration of the feature film «Radnik». The vocalists impressed us with their strong voices, and the dancers were skilled in oriental dance and tap dancing.
Our team of the KVC «Zaporozhsky vector – Machine – ZNTU» also pleased us with their performance. They enlivened the audience and created a positive, smooth transition to the second part of the holiday, namely to the viewing of the film «Radnik».
The film combined several genres: crime, drama, thriller, and melodrama. Two countries worked on the film – the USA and Great Britain, so the cast was diverse, and the machinations of the main characters of the film were not limited to one country. The main roles were played by famous actors: Michael Fassbender, Penelope Cruz, Cameron Diaz, Javier Bardem, Brad Pitt and others.
The film was about a successful lawyer who is practically at the peak of success and on the verge of his own wedding. Out of curiosity and, of course, for the sake of money, he agrees to the offer of his old acquaintance, who has close ties to the criminal world, to transport a batch of drugs from Mexico to the United States. Against this background, the further plot develops, which is no less fascinating. Everyone who saw the film knows how it ended, and others who want to see it will find out.
After the film ended, the students discussed the film and left in a good mood.
Thank you for this opportunity to have a good evening, especially before the holiday!
