Day of the National Assembly of Ukraine
On January 22, we celebrated the Day of the Unity of Ukraine. Students of the Zaporizhzhia National Technical University were invited to the Music and Drama Theater named after V.G. Magara for a solemn meeting. Here, students, working youth and respected residents of Zaporizhzhia were greeted by Mayor Volodymyr Buryak, Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Council Hryhoriy Samardak and others. During the celebration, our compatriots were awarded for special services to their homeland.
After that, the actors of the theater presented the audience with the performance «Ukraine is your children» based on the poems of Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko. It should be said that the performance turned out to be unsurpassed, filled with imagery, subtle musicality, and awakened a wide range of thoughts and sincere emotions.
We sympathized with the destitute beauty Kateryna, who was forced to wander with her baby, abandoned by her loved ones and relatives, were stunned by the antics of Haydamak, plunged into the past, as if having reviewed a dream with the main narrator. The play of the actors, live music of the violin, wind and percussion instruments, singing and emotional dances, the atmosphere prevailing on the stage, even the lighting were very harmoniously woven into Kobzar’s eternal lines. Shevchenko’s «Testament» concluded the action.
The performance turned out to be high-quality and strong, giving genuine experiences to every viewer.
Our land is rich in talents. We believe that very soon peace, harmony, comfort and prosperity will reign in our land!
