Europe Day in Zaporizhzhia
Since 2003, Europe Day has been celebrated in Ukraine on the third Saturday of May, in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 339/2003 of April 19, 2003.
2017 was a landmark year for Ukraine’s relations with Europe. All citizens of our country celebrate the signing of the long-awaited visa-free regime, and therefore the annual Europe Day has a special scope in all cities of our country.
The residents of our beloved city – Zaporizhzhia welcomed this event with great pleasure. On May 20, in Oak Grove, with the participation of a large number of ZNTU students, organizers, sponsors and simply caring people, the holiday seemed simply magical. Many photo zones, food courts, quizzes with prizes for which the students of «Mashinka» were responsible. All this was presented by Europe Day to the city residents.
The entire holiday had an entertaining and educational character. Each of the vacationers could take part in the aforementioned quizzes and not only win some nice prize, but also test their knowledge of geography.
The atmosphere of family happiness made this event even more beautiful and interesting. Anyone who did not miss this event can be sure that we deserve to be called Europeans! We are no worse than the French, Belgians, or Poles. We have been going to Europe for a very long time and finally the borders are free and half of the way to happy Ukraine has been completed. The main thing is not to give up, but to continue to transform our beautiful country into one that the whole world will emulate!
In my opinion, people in Zaporizhzhia are changing and are not going to stop. The main thing is that we build happiness with our own work and no one will build it for us!
