Another success of the gifted youth of the EPA Department at the International Scientific and Technical Conference of PJSC «Zaporizhstal»
On November 9-10, 2017, the Palace of Culture of Metallurgists became the center of the country’s scientific metallurgical thought for two days. It was here, with the traditional support of the «Zaporizhstal» metallurgical plant, that the 44th International Scientific and Technical Youth Conference was held.
The general director of PJSC «Zaporizhstal» Rostyslav Shurma and the leader of the youth organization of PJSC «Zaporizhstal» Serhiy Ilchenko opened the conference. They noted that this year’s conference is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the youth organization of the combine and thanked the participants for their active participation in scientific and technical creativity, wished everyone fruitful work, interesting communication and good scientific and technical ideas.
During the conference, 11 sections worked – blast furnace, steelmaking, rolling, equipment diagnostics and repair, energy, computing, IT and automation, transport, economy and finance, social, youth policy and personnel management, labor protection, industrial and technogenic safety, environmental protection and radiation safety.
In addition to the employees of Zaporizhstal PJSC, representatives of the Belarusian Metallurgical Plant, the Novokramatorsk Machine-Building Plant, and the Mariupol Metallurgical Plant named after Ilyich, Avdiiv Coke and Chemical Plant, Dnipro Metallurgical Plant, Azovstal Metallurgical Plant, Northern Mining and Processing Plant, Ingulets Mining and Processing Plant, Interpipe Ukraine, Interpipe Nizhny Dnipro Tube Rolling Plant, Interpipe Novomoskovsk Pipe Plant, Dniprostal, Metinvest Business Service, Metinvest Repair and Mechanical Plant, Mining and beneficiation company «Mineral», «Zaporizhvognetriv», Zaporizhzhia Foundry and Mechanical Plant, National Metallurgical Academy, Zaporizhzhia National Technical University, Zaporizhzhia State Engineering Academy, Zaporizhzhia Hydropower College, Zaporizhzhia Metallurgical College.
According to the organizers, more than 270 reports were given at the conference.
From ZNTU, a report was presented in the energy section of the master’s student (group E322m) by Ruslan Yefimenko (supervisor – O.S. Nazarova, associate professor, EPA department) on the topic «Features of modeling electromechanical systems with a variable moment of inertia.» In the equipment diagnostics and repair section, a master’s student (E313m group) Pavlo Morozov (scientific supervisor – O.S. Nazarova, associate professor of the EPA department) gave a speech on the topic «Laboratory stand for the study of damaged encoder signals».
As noted by Rostyslav Shurma, young people are generators of ideas that are later translated into large-scale projects that are implemented at Ukrainian enterprises.
In addition, the scientific and technical conference is held to give the youth an opportunity to develop, exchange ideas and learn.
