Brain Ring. The best of the best!
On October 26, 2013, the Zaporizhzhia Regional Youth Center of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Council hosted a tournament in the game «Brain Ring», which was attended by students of Zaporizhzhia universities, in particular representatives of the Zaporizhzhia National Technical University.
Each university gathered its smart young people into groups, and as a result, interesting teams emerged:
- Group A: «Onotole’s Beard», «Themis», «Mama of Seven Engineers», «In TEAM»;
- Group B: «Hyperboloids», «Without Manicure», «Gydroznayki», «Experts»;
- Group B: «4WD 6×6», «Brain Trister», «Komanda imeni Annenkov», «Mashinka», «Karapuzy». Group B united the teams of ZNTU and our colleges.
So, the game has begun! The first round – one-on-one competition. Two rival teams were placed at tables with special buttons, which the participants had to press as quickly as possible. The presenter announced the question, and the countdown immediately began. Whichever team answered first and correctly – gets a point! For an incorrect answer, the other team is given 20 seconds to think and answer correctly.
Interestingly, the audience didn’t doze off during the game either, and when the host finished reading the question, the audience also discussed the answer in a friendly manner, and when they had the opportunity to answer, they almost always got it right.
When the game was over, the judges counted the points and decided which teams would continue the competition at a new level. Although not everyone advanced, the participants left in a good mood, because everyone got to know each other, exchanged knowledge and good emotions.
The final revealed the real giants of knowledge, showed who the real walking encyclopedia is! The following teams turned out to be such: Group A – «In TEAM», Group B – «Without manicure», Group B – «All-wheel drive 6×6» – they took first places.
Our team «All-wheel drive 6×6» was represented by fourth-year students of the transport faculty. The whole game the boys and girls held on well, quickly oriented themselves, supported each other – played like a real team! According to the results of the game «All-wheel drive 6×6» took 3rd place among the participants of the last competition, the final.
