Best Job Fair 2014

Finding a job is one of the most important tasks for a student. No matter what the scholarship is, we still want to have a little more: for entertainment, personal needs and travel. Therefore, the best way to earn money is to find a part-time job or even a permanent job. It was to help students in this difficult task that a Career Fair organized by the BEST student organization was held on April 10 in auditorium 240 of ZNTU.

BEST Job Fair is a unique opportunity to get to know vacancies on the labor market, talk with employers and get the job you’ve been dreaming of for a long time. The program of the event included presentations, exhibitions, trainings, press conferences, a round table and others. What is important is that the fair was organized by the students themselves with the support of the Professional Committee of Students, Postgraduates and Doctoral Students of ZNTU, the Center for Employment Assistance for Students and Graduates of ZNTU, the Zaporizhzhia Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Zaporizhzhia Regional Youth Employment Center, as well as the rector of ZNTU Serhiy Borisovich Belikov. The event was aimed at students of all faculties of the university together with college students.

At the fair, students could get to know such companies as: JSC «Zaporizhstal», Noosphere Ventures, Proclor& Gamble, Carslberg Ukraine, Ernts & Young, JSC «Motor Sich». Also, students could get to know more about the activities of the Center for Employment Assistance for Students and Graduates of ZNTU, get job vacancies and fill out applicant questionnaires. «Unfortunately, students pay attention to employment only during graduation courses. But it is very important to start looking for a good workplace in advance,» said Serhii Borisovych at the fair’s opening ceremony. Well, the students proved that not only graduates are worried about employment – students of all courses attended the exhibition and were actively interested in jobs, talked with employers, filled out resumes and attended events within the fair. Everyone could find the best and most interesting job for themselves.

Although the event of this format was the first to be held within the walls of ZNTU, it gathered a lot of visitors. It is interesting that among those present there were not only students, but also parents who were also interested in vacancies on the labor market. We hope that such an event will take place every year and will gradually gather more and more employers and students. We thank the BEST organization, all co-organizers and Nilufar Yusupova personally for organizing such a useful event and wish her inspiration and even more creative ideas.
