Alumni ball
On June 3, an alumni ball was held in the assembly hall of the Zaporizhzhia National Technical University, which solemnly gathered the graduates of 2014, their parents, friends and relatives.
Traditionally, at the beginning of the event, our rector Serhiy Borisovych Belikov gave a speech in front of a crowded hall. After his warm words addressed to the students who have passed this difficult path, the anthems of Ukraine and «Mashinka» were played, marking the opening of the ceremony.
The event was attended by distinguished guests: Deputy Chairman of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration Petro Adolfovych Honcharuk, heads of leading enterprises and organizations of the city of Zaporizhzhia.
First of all, they awarded graduating students who actively participated in the life of the university and managed to distinguish themselves with special achievements. They were given the proud title of «Honorary Graduate». They were announced by the head of the trade union committee of students, postgraduates and doctoral students of ZNTU Andrii Volodymyrovych Ivanchenko.
Immediately after the congratulations and gifts, it was time for performances. Singer and composer Anatoliy Serdyuk (by the way, co-author of the anthem of ZNTU), aerobics collective «Mashinka», vocal studio «Viva», dancers Mariia Kabak and Taras Klymenko, folk theater of modern choreography «Fenix» delighted us with their talent. We also saw a vocal performance by Oksana Radchenko, the lyricism of which was dissolved by the guys from the KVN team «Zaporizhsky vector – »Mashinka« ZNTU». Special mention should be made of the duo – saxophonist Maksym Kartinin and beatboxer Rostislav Klymenko, who combined dark jazz and trip-hop in their unsurpassed music today.
