Are you going to KaVuN?
On October 3, the «Best Humorous Show of the City» called «KaVuN 2017» took place in Dnipro. KAVuN is an open interuniversity humor championship. And this time the KVN team of our university also took part in this humorous event.
This is not the first time our team has been going to Dnipro. In April of this year, the «KaVuN» festival was held there, where «Zaporizhzhia Vector – Machine – ZNTU» performed very confidently and entered the season from second place.
After a long vacation and a hot, but so desired summer, almost six months after the festival, the next stage of the championship came – the 1/8 finals, the events of which will be discussed below.
«Vosmukh» (this is what KVN players say), consisted of three game days. All of them were held in the assembly hall of the Pridneprovsk Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture, for which the organizers of the competition repeatedly expressed their gratitude to the administration of the academy. «Mashynkivtsi» performed on the first game day, in which another team of compatriots from Zaporizhzhia played «Dlya tebya», who, unfortunately, left «KaVuN» at the 1/8 stage.
On the first game day, as many as 8 teams played, so the competition program was not too intense. The traditional KVN competition «Business Card» and a photo warm-up with the jury. By the way, among the esteemed jury, as a guest star, unexpectedly for «ours» one could notice our compatriot – the star of the «League of Laughter» and the TV series «Pigs» Vitaliy Goncharenko. Despite his sympathy for the Machine team, which he expressed openly during his address to the audience at the end of the game, Vitaliy did not allow his emotions to influence decision-making, and evaluated all the teams solely on their humor and talent.
As for the game itself, it was dynamic and did not let the audience get bored. And when our native «Mashynkivtsi» appeared on the stage, the audience had nothing left but to hold their bellies, which hurt from laughter, because our comrades played more than decently, showing a high level of preparation and rehearsedness, which impressed the Dnipro league editors.
I would like to express special gratitude to our unsurpassed support group, which, although it consisted of about 15 people, did not let the audience forget for a second who was performing on the stage. Because the cries of «MASHYNKA! MASHYNKA!» echoed from the first appearance of our comrades on stage until the final curtain.
